POSITION INFO:

A leading and listed manufacturing concern is looking for a seasoned finance professional to join their finance team as a Financial Manager in Operations. The Financial Manager in Operations will report to the General Manager and develop tactical plans and manage operational outputs as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting, business growth, profitability and logistics.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Financial Manager in Operations will be responsible for analyzing plans and modules and ensuring adherence to legislation and set governance and compliance policies and procedures. The Financial Manager in Operations will be responsible for ensuring functional integration of internal processes and the accuracy of the payroll reports provided by Group Payroll. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the IT resources at the operation to ensure continuity of business systems as well as managing the procurement in the operations to ensure continuous production.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• CA(SA)/BCom Honors in Accounting
• Completed articles
• CIMA completed would be advantageous

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• At least 6 years’ post article experience in a similar role
• Experience in a manufacturing environment responsible for costing/finance and logistics
• Experience managing a team
• Sound experience/broad understanding of finance and supply chain systems and procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
