National Food Wholesale Industry Sector, requires the expertise of a experienced Financial Manager from within the FMCG / Food Retail Trade
POSITION INFO:
FINANCIAL MANAGER
PERMANENT POSITION BASED IN PE / Eastern Cape
Person ideally should reside in the Port Elizabeth area
Position based within the Food Retail and Wholesale Sector
Ideally the person is required to have worked as a Financial Manager within the Food Retail / FMCG Environment Sector
Salary R 50 000.00 to R 55 000.00 ctc - Depending on experience
Experience:-
8 year ‘s minimum working experience (post articles) As a Financial Manger
Person must have experience Managing and Leading a Financial Team - 3 to 5 years strong staff management experience required (Managing and leading a Financial team)
Duties:-
Duties included but not limited to the following:-
- Full admin function Management and control
- Management of Financial staff consisting of three personal (Debtors, Bookkeeper, Cash book and creditors)
- Ensuring full compliance with adopted accounting standards
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting to head office.
- Staff rostering and maintenance of payroll records for submission to head office
- Meeting all deadlines as set out by head office
- Ensure store compliance with set policy and procedures
- Review and reporting back to the executive committee on store performance.
- Supplier relations and direct payments in consultation with head office
- Liaise with external auditors in conjunction with group Finance GM
- Any other duties or functions as determined by Store Manager or Head Office
- Safe guarding of company assets specifically stock , assets and cash
- Able to assist staff manager / Store Manger as required
Characteristics:-
- Manage stress specifically in a cash flow constrained environment
- Person must have experience in management of a Financial Team
- Meeting continuous deadlines
- Self-starter and able to work without Supervision
- Analytical and accurate
- Person needed to have a strong personality / Character type
- Person must be Passionate about helping people from within the Local Communities
- Will be required to attend all stock takes (3 – 4 times a year)
Qualification:-
- Bcom accounting (Or similar accounting qualification) advantage
- Completed Articles would be advantages plus 8 years Financial Management experience
