Financial Planner & Analyst

SUMMARY:
A well-established and growing financial services organisation is seeking a Financial Planner & Analyst to join its Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly analytical individual with a passion for data and financial planning. The successful candidate will play a key role in analysing financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and contributing to the overall financial health of the business. The role reports directly to the Head of Finance.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts (revenue, expenses, and cash flow)
• Conduct detailed financial and operational analysis to identify trends and evaluate profitability
• Provide financial insights to support investment decisions, new projects, and business strategy
• Build and maintain financial models for scenario planning and ad hoc analysis
• Assist with monthly reporting packs and management dashboards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Marketing, Credit, etc.) to gather data and align on business objectives

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field
• 2–5 years’ experience in FP&A or a Financial Analyst role
• Advanced Excel skills (financial functions, pivot tables, and VBA)
• Experience with data visualisation tools, such as Power BI or Tableau
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying databases
• Experience in the retail or lending industry, advantageous but not essential

• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability
• Naturally curious with a strong desire to learn
• Ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Ability to exercise sound judgement and work independently
