A leading fashion retailer in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join their finance team. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving financial planning, forecasting, reporting, analysis, and business performance across the organisation.

POSITION INFO:
Role Overview The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will lead the financial planning and analysis function, providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making and business growth. The role will oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, reporting, and performance management while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and corporate reporting requirements. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Forecasting • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated 3-year strategic business plans • Assist in setting and achieving long-term financial targets • Develop and maintain robust financial planning and forecasting models • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes • Submit financial plans and forecasts for consolidation and reporting purposes Financial Reporting & Analysis • Manage monthly and quarterly financial close procedures • Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis reports • Analyse key financial risks and opportunities to support business decision-making • Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets and forecasts • Prepare executive reporting packs and presentations for senior leadership Business Partnering • Provide financial guidance and support to operational and functional teams • Review submissions from stakeholders and identify key financial concerns • Support leadership teams in managing key performance indicators and business objectives • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Treasury, and Tax functions Projects & Continuous Improvement • Lead financial analysis for strategic projects and business initiatives • Develop valuation and financial models to support investment decisions • Drive best practices across planning, reporting, and financial management processes • Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and business performance Key Competencies • Strategic thinking and strong analytical capability • Commercial acumen • Strong financial modelling and reporting skills • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Stakeholder management and relationship building • Strong planning and organisational skills • Problem-solving and decision-making ability • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Results-driven with strong accountability • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
