My client is a well-established company with a national footprint, operating in a fast-paced, structured environment. They’re looking for a hands-on accountant who will manage financial reporting, ensure compliance with tax legislation, and support external audits.
This is a great opportunity for a candidate who understands the importance of accuracy, process, and professionalism in financial operations. You’ll have exposure to various areas. From fixed assets and reconciliations to tax, VAT, and reporting.

Requirements:

Record and reconcile fixed asset transactions monthly
Manage month-end close and ensure accurate journal entries
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
Submit VAT and income tax returns within legal timeframes
Compile annual financial statements and support audit processes
Ensure all accounting records meet legislative and internal requirements
Review supplier invoices and assist with payment approvals

What do you need:

A diploma or degree in accounting or finance
3 to 5 years’ experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
Strong working knowledge of Excel and accounting principles
Experience with South African tax laws and reporting standards
Detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable managing month-end pressures
Able to work well on your own and collaborate within a team
