POSITION INFO:
A leading construction company is seeking a hands-on Accountant with strong technical skills across the full financial function. This role requires a completed BCom and strong command of BuildSmart. You’ll manage everything from the GL to trial balance and support the preparation of financial statements.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being deeply involved in the numbers, driving clean reconciliations, and ensuring accurate reporting in a growing and dynamic business.

Key Responsibilities:

Full Financial Function exposure: GL, reconciliations, Trial Balance, up to Financial Statements
Systems: Daily use and management of BuildSmart
Reporting: Assist with monthly reporting packs and financial reviews
Compliance: Ensure accurate and timeous processing
Operational Support: Work closely with project teams and site operations
Contribution: Support continuous improvement of financial processes

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Qualification: Completed BCom
Experience: 3–5 years in a full accounting function
Industry: Construction – essential
Systems: BuildSmart is a must
Technical: Strong recon skills, GL management, and preparation up to FS
Profile: Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and confident in a busy environment
