JOB SUMMARY:
An Automotive company based in Silverton needs a Senior Financial Manager with the business savvy to assist the IT division and building it from strength to strength. Someone who has passion for Finance, IT, Supply Chain and management, who has experience in a workshop/ automotive environment needs apply.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements:
Grade 12.
Finance Degree (or equivalent).
Must have 5 years’ experience as a Senior Financial Manager.
Experience working within an organization with regional/international business.
Audit or Accounting experience in a senior role.
Experience in working in the automotive industry or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of the Autoline Kerridge ERP System.
An advanced level of written and verbal communication/presentation skills is essential.
Must be detail orientated.
Basic Management skills.

Duties and responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for the financial matters of the SA division.
Working closely with group finance in Thailand and the divisional management team, to develop and implement strategies and controls across the organization.
In addition, the position will oversee all aspects of the accounting, financial, and reporting functions of the business including managing the Finance and Supply Chain departments.
Finance
Ensure the accuracy, and usefulness of financial reporting for the company, the board of directors and appropriate governmental agencies; oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.
Develop cash flow projections and ensure availability of funds as needed.
Control cash, investments, and assets in line with best practice standards.
Develop banking and supplier relationships to best support operations’ business needs.
Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans.
Planning, Policy, and Business Relations
Coordinate the development and monitoring of annual budgets, financial business plans and forecasts.
Participate in company policy development as a member of the senior management team.
Engage the finance committee of the board of directors to develop short-, medium-, and long-term financial plans and projections where required.
Represent the company to financial partners, including but not limited to financial institutions, investors, suppliers and auditors.
Remain up to date on best practices and corporate governance standards.
Business Development
Support the Country Manager in identifying best for business financial products and services as required.
Take ownership of Budget preparation, monitoring, and associated reporting.
Develop product pricing strategies that maximize profits considering competitive price positions.
Assist in establishing appropriate marketing cost budgets to achieve budget sales and profits.
Ensure all employees have appropriate PPE and ensure record keeping for all PPE received.
Accounting, Tax, and Financial Administration
Oversee the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functions; supervise the company’s finance staff.
Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns and maintain professional and productive relationships with relevant tax authorities and officials. Ensure full and timely claim returns on the company’s VAT payments.
Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
Information Technology and Business Systems
Responsible for managing the local company’s IT and business systems infrastructure, ensuring the business has the IT capabilities sufficient for its needs.
To ensure effective coordination between the company and Group IT, avoiding duplication of effort and optimizing areas for systems deployment and development.
Ad hoc duties required by an authorized person.
HR Responsibilities:
Manage, coach and development the staff within the finance and Supply Chain departments.
Provide support, where required to managers in the organization.
Compile, manage and review departmental staff objectives in line with company policy.
Identifying training needs.
