Fintech Specialist / Systems Analyst

SUMMARY:
Our client requires a Fintech Specialist / Systems Analyst on a 12-month contact. The Fintech Specialist will be responsible for the design of the Mobile Money Payments, Detailed Technical Solution Design and mapping the business requirements to systems/technical requirements. The Specialist will work with the Fintech Digital Platforms and Delivery team to deliver solutions and maintain an application portfolio that meets business and customer requirements. They will be responsible for creating the technical solution architecture for Mobile Money Payments and Mobile Financial Services platforms, products and applications including insurance, lending and XtraTime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Key success factors for this role include time to market of Payment Services and related Mobile Financial Services, customer experience and satisfaction in line with clients’ standards, and the development, implementation and maintenance of Mobile Money Payment and related Financial Services architecture
• Understand the external factors, strategy directions, business drivers and macro-economic impact and interpret this impact into meaningful scenarios and Mobile Money Payments and Financial Services architecture solutions.
• Identify, evaluate and conduct deep network analyses to detect bottlenecks in the Mobile Money Payments and Financial Services domain and solve these using optimization procedures and new features / solutions to improve customer connectivity.
• Design and deliver customer centric Mobile Money Payments and Financial Services technical architecture solutions according to the strategic Digital Platforms and Delivery roadmap, based on what capabilities/functionalities. are currently in place, and on what must be developed to reach the future state.
• Define and communicate high level technical and integrated business architecture requirements to inform business use cases.
• Translate the technical architecture into "fit for purpose" business models (capabilities) and requirements.
• Ensure that the Mobile Money Payments and Financial Services Architecture provides a platform for easy deployment of offerings and meets business requirements.
• Write technical solution design specifications and functional requirements specification to enable solutions Implementing fintech specific use cases using new / emerging technologies.
• Provide inputs into a Fintech Architecture reference architecture for the client considering the business and IT strategy and initiatives.
• Have a deep understanding of how Fintech systems integrate upstream and downstream (Mobile Money, Insurance and XtraTime).
• Provide pros and cons of solution design choices.
• Have experience of working in an Agile and /or DevOps delivery model.

• Administrative and IT.
• Working in a diverse team under agile and dynamic environments.

•  Experience working directly for or with digital mobile financial services platforms and vendors in the service delivery space.
• Experience in IT, Fintech and Telecommunications.
• VAS and Digital, Fintech systems experience/ interaction.
• Basic scripting skills in any/ all the following: -- Perl, Python, SQL, Linux/Unix Shells, Office 365.
• Good database skills (SQL in particular) – Oracle preferable, but others such as MySQL are fine.
• Solid understanding of networking and IP.
• OSI layer understanding and drawing parallels to current applications, Advantageous – SS7, SIGTRAN, SIP Systems analysis and design.
• Some working knowledge of hardware and concepts such as EOL, EOS.
• Virtualisation and cloud experience are advantageous but not essential – on the job training will be available.
• Good fintech architecture and planning understanding.
