Position: Fleet Controller

Responsibilities

Driver and vehicle management
- Monitor and track the location and status of all fleet vehicles and drivers using a fleet management system.
- Dispatching
  - Dispatch drivers and vehicles for collections and deliveries, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Problem solving
  - Respond to and resolve issues on the road, such a breakdowns, delays, or accident, in real time.
  - Reporting
  - Prepare hourly reports on fleet performance.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven experience as a Fleet Controller or in a similar role within the logistics/transportation industry.
- Skills
  - Excellent knowledge of fleet management systems and GPS tracking systems
  - Exception communication skills
  - Ability to work under pressure and make quick, informed decisions.
  - Good in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

Qualifications

Matric
Relevant qualifications in logistics, transport, or supply chain management is an advantage.

Availability

Must be willing to work flexible hours, day shift and night shift, including weekends and public holidays, as requested.
