Seeking an experienced Fleet Controller to manage the day-to-day coordination of our heavy vehicle fleet. The successful candidate will be the operational backbone of our transport function, ensuring vehicles and drivers are deployed efficiently, safely, and in line with client requirements.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: 2 x 12 hours shifts . 1 x day shift 07:00 to 19:00; 1 x night shift 19:00 to 07:00; 1 x Off. 3 x 8-hour shifts with 2 x 12-hour shifts over weekends. One employee off every weekend. Monitor and track all vehicle and driver movements using fleet management and telematics systems. Plan and coordinate daily transport schedules, routes, and load allocations. Ensure vehicle compliance with all regulatory, safety, and maintenance requirements. Liaise with drivers, clients, and workshop personnel to resolve operational issues timeously. Monitor fuel usage, driver performance, and trip documentation. Compile daily, weekly, and monthly fleet performance reports. Manage vehicle documentation, permits, and licensing compliance. Experience Required: Minimum 3 years ' experience as a Fleet Controller in the road freight\/logistics industry. Experience working with PBS vehicles is highly advantageous. Proficiency with fleet tracking\/telematics systems (e.g. Mix Telematics, Optix, Vantage or similar). Strong administrative and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment. Matric essential; relevant qualification advantageous.
