POSITION INFO:
Our client, a well-established transport and logistics company based in the Stellenbosch area, is looking for a Fleet Scheduler to join their team. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for someone who thrives on planning, problem-solving, and keeping trucks moving efficiently. You'll be the link between transporters, clients, and drivers, making sure cargo gets where it needs to be, on time, every time. What you'll be doing Maintaining established admin procedures Building and maintaining relationships with transporters, clients, and truck drivers Following up on trucks to determine accurate ETAs Keeping clients informed on the status of their cargo Building strong relationships with loading and off-loading points Identifying key role players at loading and off-loading points Weekly planning and forecasting of truck movements Supporting drivers and clients at loading and off-loading points What you'll bring A relevant degree or diploma Solid knowledge of the transport market Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong planning and organisational ability A team player with good analytical ability Sharp attention to detail Good negotiating skills Willingness to be available for after-hours calls and problem-solving Who you'll work with Transporters, clients, and consultants form part of your daily working relationships in this role.
