POSITION INFO:

Job Summary:

The Floor Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations on the floor, ensuring efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).

The role is hands-on and requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse floor staff.
Ensure accurate receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch of FMCG products.
Monitor productivity, quality, and safety standards.
Allocate tasks and shifts to warehouse operatives to optimize workflow.
Inspect inventory for damage or discrepancies; report and resolve issues promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness on the warehouse floor.
Implement and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Conduct daily team briefings and report performance to the Warehouse Manager.
Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits.
Train new warehouse operatives and ensure adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent (Degree/Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain is a plus).
Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in the FMCG sector.
Prior experience in a supervisory role is required.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to lead, motivate, and discipline staff effectively.
Knowledge of FIFO, FEFO, and inventory control best practices.
Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Email).
Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

Warehouse environment with moderate to heavy physical activity.
Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Use of safety gear as required.
