Village N Life is a leading Tourism and Hospitality company based in the beautiful Camps Bay.

The Bay Hotel, part of our portfolio, seeks a Food and Beverage Manager to join our dynamic team.

The main purpose of the job is the plan, direct and coordinate the activities of the Food and Beverage Department. Responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant's revenue, profitability and quality goals. You will also be responsible for controlling costs and provide high-quality experiences to customers.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Matric
Hotel Management / Food and Beverage Management Diploma
3-5 years previous experience in the same or similar position within the luxury hotel sector
MS Office proficiency
Sound Opera and Micros knowledge
Have good decision making skills
Be able to influence others
High adaptability and flexibility

About the position:

Overall running of the Food and Beverage department of the hotel (various outlets)
Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
Do duty manager shifts as the most senior person on the property
Run special events with the Events Manager
Assist in performing HR functions, such as performance appraisals and progressive discipline
Report on financial performance, inventory and personnel
Keep track of monthly and annual budgets to assist making targets
