SUMMARY:
About the Role
As an FX Dealer, the candidate will play a critical role in managing the daily foreign
exchange trading operations, responsible for executing FX trades, managing client portfolios, and liaising with clients and counterparties including Banks to optimize trade outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong market knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Execute foreign exchange trades on behalf of clients and the Employer, ensuring best pricing and compliance with regulatory requirements Monitor global FX markets and provide market updates, insights, and forecasts to clients and internal teams Manage client portfolios, ensuring trade accuracy, risk management, and adherence to trading limits Establish and maintain strong relationships with banks, clients, franchises, and counterparties to facilitate seamless trade execution Analyse market trends, news, and economic indicators impacting FX markets to advise clients accordingly Collaborate with Partners to monitor clients' exposures and implement hedging strategies where necessary Maintain accurate records of trades, transactions, and client communications in line with company policies including bank reconciliations and invoicing Participate in ongoing market research and contribute to the development of trading strategies Requirements Qualifications Grade 12 (Matric) ACI Dealing Certificate RE5 Representative Examination FAIS Fit and Proper status A relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Investments, Banking or a related field will be advantageous Experience 3-5 years' experience in Foreign Exchange dealing. Proven experience trading Spot FX and Forward Exchange Contracts. Experience processing international payments and cross-border transactions. Exposure to Exchange Control transactions and working within a regulated financial services environment. Experience servicing high-net-worth individuals, corporate clients, trusts, institutional investors and financial advisors. Experience liaising with banks and Authorised Dealers Technical Knowledge A sound understanding of: Spot FX and Forward Exchange Contracts Treasury operations and international settlements Exchange Control Regulations and SARB requirements FICA, AML, KYC, POPIA and FAIS compliance Offshore investments and securities markets Experience using Reuters, Bloomberg, SWIFT, banking platforms and Microsoft Office will be advantageous.
