Key Responsibilities

• Manage and complete RFQs and RFIs for current and prospective clients.
• Handle project, breakbulk, sea, and air freight estimates.
• Negotiate rates with preferred subcontractors and coordinate with internal teams for optimised pricing.
• Utilise AGL's Quotation Module and ensure all estimates are accurately logged and tracked.
• Liaise directly with clients to gather requirements, suggest alternatives, and build comprehensive proposals.
• Assist in handovers from sales to operations and ensure accurate documentation.
• Ensure that import/export compliance, Incoterms, and country-specific regulations are factored into each quote.
• Support project tenders by preparing rate templates and maintaining valid pricing records.

Requirements

• Matric essential.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience handling estimates in freight forwarding.
• Operational experience across sea, air, and road freight (3–5 years).
• Strong understanding of Incoterms, scope of work planning, and rate procurement.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience with load planning is highly advantageous.
