Front End Developer - Stellenbosch

We are looking for an intermediate / senior Frontend Web Developer to join our team based in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will slot into the team and work alongside designers, client-facing team members, and oftentimes clients as well.

Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of general web and mobile landscape and architectures

• Be a creative and agile team-player with a passion for product quality

• Demonstrating skills in writing and testing high-quality, readable, well architected and efficient code

• Use collaborative version control to manage repositories (Git and Bitbucket)

• Support entire web development lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, support)

• Produce fully functional web components using clean and structured code

• Gather specific requirements and suggest solutions

• Write unit and UI tests to identify and prevent malfunctions

• Troubleshooting and debugging

• Ensure web apps meet quality standards

• Stay up-to-date with tech trends

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

• Work with outside data sources and API’s

  
  Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in Web Development (Angular/ReactJs/HTML/CSS JS/PHP)

• Degree in Information Technology /Computer Science is ESSENTIAL

• Experience in Scrum/Agile Development methodologies

• Basic understanding of back-end technologies and platforms such as Java, Spring, Restful Services, Core Java and PHP

• Proficient understanding of source control tools such as Git

• Knowledge of object-oriented design, reactive programming and development skills

• Ability to work in an Agile environment and deliver on short timelines

• Effective research, analytical and problem-solving skills

• Creative spirit and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously

• Must be Criminal Clear
• Must reside in the Greater cape Town area.
