Fuel Distribution Team Lead

Purpose

To manage the bulk fuel delivery schedule produced by the Schedulers, in order to offer delivery support service to the retail and commercial customer base by accommodating delivery requests, problems or emergencies which may emanate from the customers. To timeously act on requests from the depots ensuring a continuous and uninterrupted delivery operation.

Background / Organisation: Situated in the outbound scheduling department, this position has been designed to deliver an efficient, effective and accurate avenue through which the bulk fuel customer/Retailer is able to obtain immediate assistance with regards to all delivery related problems and enquiries

Principal Accountabilities

• Inbound and Outbound Call queries: End to end query management within SLA, and logged in CRM accordingly
• Internal and External Stakeholder management and reporting
• 18/7 Operation with 12hr shift patterns
• Strict adherence and application of all HSEQ policies and procedures
• Collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure successful execution of schedules and escalating deviations from plan whilst ensuring stakeholders are communicated to.
• Enable all activities to assist the Scheduler in optimal planning and the Depot in the execution of plan

• Perform consistently in a pressurized 24/7 environment.

Competencies / Experience Required

• NQF6 or 6 years in Transport – Oil industry preferable
• Comprehensive understanding of transport economics
• Basic understanding of the end-to-end Fuels Supply Chain
• Strong problem solving & communication skills
• Strong communication skills
• Trouble shooting abilities
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal with people at all levels both within the department and at depots – ability to nurture relationships
• Strong analytical skills
• Computer literacy including SAP, Excel and, Power-point
• Working knowledge of OIR and CRM
• Self-motivated and pro-active stance to all job related tasks
