POSITION INFO:

Our client, A Giant in the manufacturing industry is seeking to URGENTLY appoint a highly seasoned GCC Senior Engineering Manager to join their multi-functional team to be based in their Middleburg Operation.

KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

• At minimum a BSc/BEng/B Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with GCC -Government Certificate of Competency – Factories, backed by at least 5 years’ experience as GMR2.
• At minimum 10 years’ senior management experience in heavy industrial manufacturing facilities (smelting/refinery etc.)
• A track record demonstrating sound people management, relationship building and team building skills.
• Sound communication skills (written and spoken) absolutely essential.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Health, Safety, Environmental and Risk management compliance and application of best practices
• Enforce Engineering standards and apply asset management best practices to optimize the asset value.
• Leading the multidisciplinary Engineering team
• Drive Operational Excellence, specifically availability, reliability, capability, efficiency and quality.
• Cost optimization with a focus on managing the life cycle cost of assets.
