POSITION INFO:

The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the day to day management of a luxury, boutique hotel in Johannesburg, with a focus on good guest relations, visibility, and service excellence .

Responsibilities include:

Guest Experience and Relations (Primary Focus)
Oversee daily hotel operations, with a strong focus on Rooms Division
Management of outsourced Food & Beverage and Conferencing providers
Lead and support the management team, fostering a positive, service driven environment.
Manage operational budgets, and revenue performance
Ensure maintenance and property standards are maintained

Experience and skills:

Proven experience in a boutique hotel environment
Strong guest relations and front-of-house presence is essential.
Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to be operationally involved
People management experience
Familiarity with Opera Hotel Management System (PMS).

This role will suit a Hotel Manager, who has a warm, approachable, and guest-focused personality. Someone who has a strong sense of ownership and accountability. This is an opportunity for a Hotel Manager who is ready to take the next step up from managing a smaller portfolio hotel.
