SUMMARY:
A high-growth, multi-jurisdictional fintech and mobile technology group is seeking an exceptional Group Chief Executive Officer to lead its next phase of international expansion across Africa, Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
POSITION INFO:
This is a rare opportunity to lead a purpose-driven fintech ecosystem operating across:
✔ Cross-border remittances & foreign exchange
✔ Consumer & merchant payments
✔ Mobile wallets & payment gateways
✔ Digital credit & fintech innovation
✔ Mobile technology & enterprise solutions
The Group currently operates regulated and operational businesses in Africa and the UK, with strategic expansion initiatives underway in the USA, Canada, UAE, and other global diaspora corridors.
As Group CEO, you will work directly with the Board to:
✔ Define and execute the Group’s long-term strategic vision
✔Lead multi-jurisdictional growth, licensing, and market expansion
✔Oversee subsidiary CEOs and Group-wide performance
✔ Drive fundraising, investor engagement, and strategic partnerships
✔Build strong relationships with regulators and financial institutions globally
✔Create synergies across payments, remittance, fintech, and mobile technology businesses
✔ Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer-centricity across international teams
Key focus areas include:
✔UK FCA SPI licensing
✔ USA operationalisation
✔Canadian IMT acquisition integration
✔Pan-African and diaspora fintech growth
✔Regulatory governance and AML/CFT compliance
✔Scaling digital financial services across emerging markets
Requirements:
✔ Minimum 15 years’ leadership experience, including 5+ years at CEO/MD/C-suite level
✔ Strong fintech, payments, remittance, digital banking, or mobile technology background
✔ Experience managing multi-country operations and regulated financial services businesses
✔ Proven success navigating complex regulatory and licensing environments
✔ Strong commercial, investor relations, and strategic leadership capability
✔ Deep understanding of African markets and diaspora financial ecosystems
Preferred:
✔ MBA or advanced business qualification
✔ Experience engaging investors, DFIs, and strategic fintech partners
✔ Exposure to UK FCA, CBK, North American payments regulation, or digital credit frameworks
