General Insurance Actuarial Manager

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Lead actuarial projects in pricing, reserving, capital modelling, and IFRS 17.
Develop and implement advanced statistical and actuarial models.
Provide technical guidance and mentor junior team members.
Collaborate with clients to deliver tailored, high-impact solutions.

Job Experience & Skills Required

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or similar.

Experience:

Minimum 7 years in short-term insurance, pricing, reserving, or capital modelling.
Qualified or nearly qualified Actuary.
Project management and leadership experience advantageous.
Knowledge of SAM, ORSA, solvency calculations, valuations, and regulatory frameworks.

Skills:

Proficiency in R and/or Python for statistical modelling (advantageous).
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and provide clear progress updates.
High attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
