SUMMARY:
A family‑owned, 5‑star wildlife lodge situated in the Greater Addo Elephant Park is looking for a 𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗥

POSITION INFO:
Since opening in the late 1990s, the property has grown into a world‑class destination that balances luxury, warm hospitality, and conservation partnership. The ideal candidate must have had 5-star hospitality experience and must exude classic style
that accords with the lodge.

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Uphold service style, presentation, and guest‑hosting standards
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience across front‑of‑house, restaurant & bar, housekeeping, and grounds
• Oversee property maintenance, gardens, and facility standards
• Recruit, train, and mentor all staff levels
• Maintain HR compliance and liaise with unions as needed
• Foster a cohesive, motivated team culture
• Manage reservations workflow and guest follow‑up
• Monitor guest satisfaction metrics and implement improvements
• Prepare weekly executive summaries
• Review monthly & quarterly results against budget
• Collaborate on cash‑flow projections and operational reports
• Conduct regular staff appraisals
• Serve as primary liaison with national park management
• Ensure open channels of communication and compliance with park requirements

• Minimum of 5 years in a senior management role at a luxury hotel, lodge, or resort
• Neat, confident, and personable. Able to project classic style and warm professionalism
• Energetic, engaging personality with a genuine passion for exceeding guest expectations
• Lateral thinker who can troubleshoot on the fly and design memorable experiences
• Proven track record in both front‑of‑house and back‑office operations at a 5‑star property
• Strong financial management: budgeting, cost control, and P&L oversight
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with Semper or GuestCentric systems desirable
• Hands‑on involvement in channel management and client acquisition
• Ability to inspire and guide a long‑standing, loyal team
• Clear, timely updates to directors and key stakeholders
• Skilled at building productive partnerships with park authorities and industry partners
