Minimum:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Insurance or related field (NQF 7)

• Postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) (NQF 8)
• Advanced executive leadership development

• Senior leadership experience within the South African insurance industry
• Proven P&L ownership of a product line or business unit
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.

• Experience operating within a matrixed, shared-services environment
• Exposure to sales, claims, service and customer operations leadership
• Demonstrated ability to scale a regulated insurance product line sustainably

• Exercises enterprise-level commercial leadership, balancing growth, risk and customer value.
• Demonstrates strong financial and strategic acumen, translating market conditions into sustainable P&L performance.
• Applies sound regulatory and governance judgement, ensuring ethical conduct and regulatory alignment.
• Leads cross-functional execution with authority and influence, aligning shared services to product-line objectives.
• Champions customer-centric decision-making, ensuring fair outcomes and service excellence.
• Drives performance accountability, setting clear expectations and holding leaders responsible for delivery.
