SUMMARY:
Our Mining Client is sourcing a GM Mining (+ Projects & Best Practices)

POSITION INFO:
The successful candidate must fulfill the following minimum requirements 

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
The tactical & strategic leadership of the Company resources to continually maximise shareholder value

JOB OBJECTIVES
To ensure production targets and profit margins are achieved cost-effectively on a sustainable basis for the mine
To implement and maintain sound people management practices to ensure a productive workforce at the Company
To develop and implement the strategic plan for the mine and directly assist the Operations Executive in the strategic management process
To formulate, communicate and drive the strategic vision of the Company via transformational/effective leadership
To ensure environmental and corporate social investment concerns are managed as a strategic focus area

Qualifications
B degree in Mining Engineering or B Tech diploma in mining
Management qualifications
Management development program
Executive development program  
MBL qualification  
Project management qualification (for GM Projects)
Registration as a professional certified engineer  
Blasting & mine manager’s certificate

Work Experience:
13 to 15 years

Mine management & mine overseer experience
5 years as Mine manager
3 years as Mine overseer.
2 years as Shift Supervisor

Job related Knowledge
Knowledge of stoping
Mine development knowledge
Knowledge of shafts
Project knowledge/methodologies
Knowledge of Survey, Ventilation, Rock engineering, Geology, Accounting, Engineering
Knowledge of HR & employee relations (ER/IR)
