General Manager - Restaurant

Our client based in the heart of George is looking for an experienced and qualified Restaurant General manager to organize and run the restaurant activities in accordance with our Company's standards

Job Responsibilities:

• Meets restaurant financial objectives in food, beverage, payroll and restaurant costs
• Attracts patrons by developing and implementing marketing plans with the Operations manager
• Controls purchases and inventory in accordance with set restaurant budgets
• Maintains operations in accordance with the set policies and standard operating procedures, aiming for consistent productivity and quality
• Maintains patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food and beverage service offerings
• Accomplishes restaurant and bar human resource objectives by screening & interviewing suitable candidates for junior vacancies and ensuring that the necessary training is given to new recruits
• Ensure that guests are enjoying their visit to our restaurant
• Directs and motivates the service staff to ensure that guests are having a great time
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy facility by establishing, following, and enforcing hygiene standards and procedures
• Maintains professional relations with all guests and staff
• Accomplishes company goals by accepting ownership of the restaurant operations
• Prepares weekly reports as required by the company
• Candidate must have own reliable transport
