A leading distribution centre seeks a seasoned General Manager to oversee and drive operational excellence across warehouse, transport, inventory, facilities, and fleet functions. This pivotal role requires translating strategic plans into actionable operations, ensuring compliance, and delivering consistent customer service at optimal cost and quality standards. Key Focus Areas: End-to-end operations leadership with measurable KPI improvement. Customer relationship management and strategic business reviews. Continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and food safety compliance. Financial stewardship with cost control and budget alignment. People leadership: cultivating high-performance teams, succession planning, and union engagement. Candidate Profile: Tertiary qualification in Business or Supply Chain (MBA advantageous). 8-10 years' senior operational management experience in complex, multi-site environments. Expertise in warehouse, inventory, transport, supply chain, and customer service management. Strong exposure to health & safety, contingency planning, and unionized workforce management. Advanced skills in WMS, routing software, and MS Excel.
