SUMMARY:
Our client requires a German speaking Payroll Manager to manage day-to-day payroll processing - financial and legislative activities (SA and International)

POSITION INFO:

Duties & Responsibilities • Payroll Processing Management: o Develop, review and maintain payroll administration processes and procedures o Document new procedures and guidelines for the payroll system o Monitor compliance to payroll administration procedures and guidelines o Review and quality assure changes/variations within the payroll system and review engagements, terminations and documentation in relation to employee changes on the system o Perform a high-level review of payroll administration data for errors, omissions and inconsistencies for data integrity o Receive and check pay-period reports prior to uploading EFT files to the banks and act as the final internal control before the files are released o Upload EFT files to banks for pay groups as needed o Review payroll account reconciliations o Ensure that payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner o Lead the implementation of payroll in accordance with substantive or collective agreements with organised labour o Handle and execute employee leave liability provisions o Monitor the allocation of emails, calls and voicemails to an assigned Payroll Administrator to action, and monitor the quality of service provided by team members o Review monthly payroll reports prior to submission to the HC Business Partners of operating entities o Lead payroll process optimisation, enhancement, efficiency and continuous improvement o Develop, maintain and safeguard payroll filing and retrieval systems, including both digital and hard-copy o Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on the performance of the department o Drive the continuous improvement of Payroll Processing within the HC Shared Services Centre • Payroll Administration Support to the Business o Build and maintain stakeholder relationships with functional heads across all operating entities o Maintain sound working relationships with the HC Business Partners and HC Administration Manager
