Graduate Industrial Engineer - Supplychain

SUMMARY:
We are recruiting for a graduate industrial engineer with Exposure to work and/or projects in the following fields: Supply Chain Modelling, Logistics/Transport Network Design/Redesign, Business Process Design in a fast-paced manufacturing and/or FMCG environment is a strong advantage.

POSITION INFO:

• Solid experience in an ERP system( preferably QAD but not limited to) is strongly recommended inclusive of Master Scheduling and Materials Requirements Planning (MRP).
• Exposure and knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems ( WMS) Sourcing and Procurement.
• Optimization and/or Operations Research with a strong focus on Inventory Modellingand end-to-end process mapping and improvement implementation in a very high SKU business is highly advantageous
• Inventory modeling in a high SKU environment will be an advantage .
• Exposure to Lean and Six Sigma will be highly advantageous.
• Exposure to S&OP and /or IBP (Integrated Business Planning) will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of the principles of Agile project execution is recommended
• Exposure in working in a fast paced and strongly customer focused environment i.e. servicing internal customers and going the extra mile to meet the needs of external customers is crucial.

Key skills:

• Excellent communicator (verbal and written) in English is a must.
• Proficiency in Afrikaansis highly recommended
• Good problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to present logical arguments and business proposals.
• Highly numericand skilled in making sense from big data.
• Engineering Economics/ Cost Managementmaking complex calculations across the supply chain or involvement in Projects involving advanced costing and financial analysisis highly recommended
• Value Stream and Business Process Mapping (BPM) + Implementation skills, especially in Supply Chain and Operations.
• Systems Proficiency: ERP- QAD
  Software/Programming packages: Simulation, R Studio, My SQL Programming
  Microsoft Office:Excel (Advanced) Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
  Other:PowerBi including Powerapps, including VBA as well as Solver tools,
  Other: Proficient in Computer aided-design, AutoCAD
  Knowledge of the principles of Artificial Intelligence (AI) programs and Machine Learning in a complex supply chain environment will be an advantage
