POSITION INFO:

Are you a Green Finance Specialist who is passionate about helping businesses reduce their environmental impact, meet the triple bottom line and move towards a low carbon future? Our client, who is a trusted expert in low carbon technology, is seeking a Carbon Tax Development Manager to deliver and grow sustainable and green finance projects. To be the right fit for this role, it is vital that you have experience with climate finance and/or sustainable finance!

As a Green Finance Specialist, it is non-negotiable that you have a working understanding of the South African financial infrastructure. You will have 5+ years’ in the financial sector, with specific focus on climate and/or green finance. This role will demand of you to have the ability to handle technical development, project management, team coordination and business development. Your aptness to form strong relationships will assist you when liaising with key stakeholders and building on these key relationships. You will exceed expectations through displaying your knowledge of climate adaptation and mitigation finance and its relevance in developing countries as well as through producing highly intelligent solutions to complex analytical problems. You will have a current working knowledge on international regulatory framework involving climate change and climate finance as you may be required to travel both nationally and internationally. Additionally, you will have excellent research and analytical capabilities along with a keen eye to draw out imperative, relevant information.
