POSITION INFO:

GROUP ACCOUNT SALES MANAGER - MIDRAND

SALARY:  R----- PER MONTH / 10.92% PROVIDENT FUND / 50 % MEDICAL AID / CO CAR


We''re looking for a “business savvy” Group Account Sales Manager who will bring the right mix of experience and skills to the table to manage the sales and create long term relationships with a group of customers and serve as the interface between customer service and the sales team. This is a highly competitive environment with high stakes, because the Group Account Sales Manager is the engine driving organic growth.


QUALITIES WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

This role is all about building strong relationships and having business acumen to understand the customer''s demands, plan how to meet these demands, and generate sales for the company as a result. Easily deals with a "business situation" (risks and opportunities) in a manner that is likely to lead to a good outcome, engage in a variety of tasks (across operations, logistics, sales support and marketing), including coordination, strategic planning, relationship management, negotiation, leadership and innovative development of opportunities.


A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GROUP ACCOUNT SALES MANAGER…  

Generate sales for a portfolio of accounts and reach the company''s sales target. Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts to retain a client-account manager relationship by up-selling and cross-selling.  Manage multiple accounts nationwide.  Manage and solve conflicts with customer.  Interact and coordinate with the sales team and other staff members in other departments working on the same accounts and keep customers updated.  Meet time deadlines for accounts.


SKILLS - ATTRIBUTES  

Think strategically to create win-win scenarios for your key accounts and the company  Financial analysis and competence are great supplemental skills  Use knowledge to make good decisions and understand how actions and decisions impact key measures and objectives  Ability to listen, remain flexible, address a diversity of needs, and stay open even when a situation gets complicated or heated.  Be able to identify the communication styles of the people you work with and tailor your approach accordingly


QUALIFICATIONS - KNOWLEDGE - EXPERIENCE  

  • A tertiary qualification in business administration, sales, marketing, communications, business management or related field  

  • 5 Years’ experience working directly with customers, or working as a Junior Key Account Manager  

  • Powertool and accessories knowledge essential  

  • Woodworking Trade Industry experience will be a fantastic advantage to have  

  • Willing to travel nationally
