POSITION INFO:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Group Accountant to join a leading automotive group in Middelburg. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and strategic insight across multiple dealerships.
This position is ideal for a results-driven finance professional who enjoys both hands-on accounting and strategic business partnering. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage group financial operations across multiple branches
- Perform and review monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Check, approve, and manage payments, ensuring sound cashflow management
- Prepare and maintain accurate cashflow forecasts
- Manage consolidations and inter-branch transactions efficiently
- Prepare monthly management accounts and group financial reports
- Drive the budgeting and forecasting process, including detailed variance analysis
Job Experience and Skills Required:- BCom Accounting / Finance (Honours or higher)
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and strong financial modelling skills
- Experience with Evolve or similar dealership management systems (advantageous)
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and partner with operations
- Highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Sound knowledge of taxation, compliance, and financial controls
