SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
Our client, a reputable and well-established business within the engineering sector, is seeking to appoint a Group Accountant to support the finance function at group level. This role is ideal for a hands-on CA(SA) who enjoys working in a structured, deadline-driven environment and has proven experience managing consolidations and group financial reporting.
You will be responsible for supporting monthly reporting, statutory compliance, and ensuring accurate consolidation of multiple entities. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional looking to gain exposure to group-level reporting in a technically strong and commercially driven business.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly group reporting packs and management accounts.
Perform group consolidations across multiple entities and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Assist with annual financial statements and statutory reporting requirements.
Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial controls.
Provide technical accounting support and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:

CA(SA) (non-negotiable)

Experience:

Minimum 3–5 years post-articles experience in a group reporting / financial reporting role.
Proven experience with group consolidations (non-negotiable).
Exposure to the engineering / construction / industrial sector will be advantageous.
Experience working across multiple entities within a group structure.

Skills:

Advanced Excel skills (non-negotiable).
Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Sage / similar).
Strong attention to detail, deadline-driven, and analytical.

Other Requirements:

Strong communication skills and ability to engage with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple reporting deadlines.
