SUMMARY:
A leading national company has a newly created position for a Group Accountant at their Head office.

POSITION INFO:

POSITION : GROUP ACCOUNTANT
AREA : JOHANNEBURG NORTHERN SUBURBS
SALARY : R 70 000- R 75 000 CTC BASED ON EXPERIENCE

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To manage the company''s financials as well as the head office function at a group level.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

COMPLETED B.Com Degree
Overall 10 years of relevant working experience within a finance role
Minimum 5 years Management experience
Group Accounting experience is ESSENTIAL
MUST be registered with a Professional body such as (SAICA, SAIPA, CIMA)
Telco/ICT/IT industry experience preferred not essential

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Head office/parent company function
Reporting to CEO and COO
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated management reports containing financial and operational information
Interpretation, analysis and presentation of reports
The role involves interacting with all levels of the business as well as external parties
Review individual management accounts to ensure compliance with group accounting standards
Monitoring regulatory compliance across all group companies for example taxation and audit
