One of the largest players in the South and sub-Saharan African construction sectors is looking for a Group Accountant to join their team. The organization has delivered projects across the South African landscape with operations in Botswana and Namibia.

One of the largest players in the South and sub-Saharan African construction sectors is looking for a Group Accountant to join their team. The organization has delivered projects across the South African landscape with operations in Botswana and Namibia.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Group Accountant will be responsible for financial analyses and financial accounting services for head office and the group companies. The Group Accountant will also be responsible for preparing tax reconciliations and returns as well as preparing group reporting templates and requirements. The successful candidate will also be responsible for completing quarterly reports, annual statutory financial statements and consolidations.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

CA (SA)

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

At least 1-2 years’ post article experience
Experience in the mining/engineering/construction industries is preferred
Experience dealing with consolidations and group reporting
Working knowledge of IFRS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong business acumen
