SUMMARY:
A leader in the construction and engineering space is looking for a Group Accountant to join their head office team.

POSITION INFO:

The Group Accountant plays an essential role within the group due to its Company Structure consisting of a holding company and various subsidiary companies both within Southern Africa as well as in Mauritius, the UAE and Europe. Consolidating results for the Group as a whole is in essence the main responsibility of the Group Accountant. The position also entails performing financial functions related to the collection, recording, analysis and accurate presentation of the Group''s financial operations.

To qualify for the role you will:

Minimum 5 years accounting experience.
Solid technical background, including consolidated reporting and statutory reporting experience.
Highly organized and structured.
Strong level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to take responsibility and be accountable.
Able to work autonomously and as part of a broader team.
Ability to solve complex problems.
A proactive approach to problem-solving.
Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel and accounting packages (similar to NetSuite).
Budgeting and forecasting experience.
