Group Accountant

SUMMARY:

Are you a newly Qualified CA(SA) and just completed your SAICA Articles and seeking to take the first step in the commercial market? My clients located in the South of Tshwane, are looking to expand their team and are in search of a Group Accountant that will be handling the accounting function on a group level. POSITION INFO:

Duties:

• Oversee the duties of the accounting team.
• Implement accounting systems and processes.
• Reconcile income statements.
• Prepare monthly financial reports.
• Control the master data of the general register.
• Review and release online banking payments.
• Ensure compliance with state revenue service.
• Provide ongoing accounting and reporting support.
• Manage the full financial process.
• Prepare an expense budget report.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Planning of audit engagements including assisting with managerial responsibilities.
• Understanding of client’s businesses, analysing their financial statements, and monitoring

economic conditions and trends to identify significant risks facing the client and

• Assessing the impact of these conditions on the audit.
• Team management of the audit engagement team.
• Prepared budgets, provided reasons for variances from the budgets and recommended
• improvements for the various audit engagements.
• Overall project management of the audit engagement in the absence of the engagement
• Reviewed client draft Annual Financial Statements and recommending potential

improved disclosures to comply with IFRS requirements.

• Raising Value Added improvements to client management regarding efficiencies, control

weaknesses and other significant matters identified during the audit engagement.

• Involved in the development and performance feedback of junior staff on audit teams.
• Initial reviewing of audit work performed by junior team members

Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Bachelor of Accounting or Accounting Sciences
• Honor''s degree preferred.
• Completion of Articles.
• Registered with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants
• Have a valid driver’s license with own reliable vehicle

Experience:

• 3 years relevant experience.
• Experience in multiple commercial industries
