Role Overview:

As a key member of the group commercial team, the Commercial Manager will directly report to the Chief Commercial Officer. This newly established position requires a dynamic individual proficient in management accounting and project management. The successful candidate will oversee a range of commercial activities.

While prior costing experience within a manufacturing context is pivotal, this role operates at a group level of responsibility. Therefore, leveraging costing, accounting and commercial expertise to evaluate group performance and identify opportunities for business improvement and alignment will be essential for the success of this position. Fulfilling a critical commercial function within the group, the role integrates product pricing, costs, efficiencies and ultimately, profitability.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong management accountant skills, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior accounting role for a manufacturing business, including prior experience in activity-based costing.
• Excellent project management skills, with experience managing complex projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
• Proven experience in tender management and preparation, demonstrating great attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks and deliverables.
• Good practical business and financial decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• IT proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent organisational skills to meet goals and set priorities, including the ability to work under pressure and in new environments.
• Ability to deal with operations across the globe in different languages with different cultures and time zones.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead a small team.
