A well-established Non-profit organization, focused on uplifting informal communities, seeks an experienced, innovative and analytical Group Cost Accountant to join their finance team based in Sandton. This is an urgent vacancy and candidates who can commence employment immediately will be preferred. This role is a 6 month contract with the possibility of going permanent.

A well-established Non-profit organization, focused on uplifting informal communities, seeks an experienced, innovative and analytical Group Cost Accountant to join their finance team based in Sandton.

This is an urgent vacancy and candidates who can commence employment immediately will be preferred. This role is a 6 month contract with the possibility of going permanent.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to EXCO and operational staff.

Duties include, but not limited to preparation of financial data, financial analysis, full cost and management accounting, building costing models, services costing, cost analysis, pricing and identification of problematic areas for all entities within the group.

Education:

BCom Hons in Accounting or equivalent

Completed CIMA Strategic Level or TOP CIMA will be advantageous

CA(SA) will be advantageous

Skills & Experience:

5 to 7 years' experience in a Cost accounting role is a non-negotiable

Group level exposure is non-negotiable

Services costing experience is non-negotiable

Operational finance experience is essential for this role

Experience with Pastel and VIP

Advanced MS Excel skills

Proficient in building costing models

Experience in cost saving initiatives

Financial acumen

Strong personality

Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment

Team player

Own reliable transport is a non-negotiable as this role will include travel to various informal settlements
