SUMMARY:
The role is responsible for the creation, development and management of the companyâ€™s future shared services function that will support the whole business with transaction processing, financial controls, payments & collections. This position reports directly into the CFO.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications and Experience

BCom Finance
Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience with at least 3 years’ experience in large corporate
FMCG sector experience essential.
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
In-depth Knowledge of Working Capital
Thorough understanding of financial controls and processes
Experience in managing a team of functional experts
Exposure to integrated SAP B1 ERP systems and shared services
Direct experience in creating business change using enabling technologies
Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Ability to interact effectively with client executives, vendors and third-party providers

Key Result Areas:

Shape and articulate the shared services strategy and value proposition to all stakeholders
Apply leading practice end to end process expertise in core finance in order to design and implement new re-engineered processes in a Shared Services
Manage a large team of functional experts
Manage the Trade and other Receivables Working Capital KPI’s
Manage the Trade and Other Payables Working Capital KPI’s
Manage the Credit & Collection Manager/s and department
Manage the National Accounts Payable Manager and department
Ensure standard credit policies and procedures are implemented and maintained
Ensure standard AP policies and procedures are implemented and maintained
Ensure adequate financial controls and processes
Responsible for the management and improvement of Working Capital
Ensure that business risks are identified, assessed and managed
Ensure that adequate plans have been developed to deal with functional audit findings
Ensure that functional business continuity plans are in place
