SUMMARY:
A leading and fast-growing group of companies is seeking a strategic and hands-on Group Finance Manager to oversee and manage the financial health of its diverse business units. This role will be central in driving financial performance, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing leadership across group-wide finance functions.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, experience in group consolidations, and a track record of leading finance teams in a multi-entity environment.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements across multiple entities
Ensure compliance with relevant reporting standards (IFRS / IFRS for SMEs) and regulatory requirements
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across the group
Drive group-wide financial analysis and insights to support executive decision-making
Manage statutory audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors
Monitor internal controls, financial policies, and risk management processes
Ensure accurate intercompany accounting and reconciliations
Oversee tax planning, VAT, and corporate income tax compliance
Provide strategic financial input to group leadership and play a key role in board reporting
Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals across business units

Requirements:

Qualified CA(SA) or equivalent
Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in a senior finance role, with exposure to group structures and consolidations
Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory frameworks
Proven leadership and team management skills
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, Oracle)
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and commercial acumen
