Group Finance Manager (CA)

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

REQUIREMENTS

Qualified Chartered Accountant

Minimum of 3 years post articles experience

Ability to work in a pressurised and deadline orientated position

Excellent communication skills

Highly level of integrity and accuracy

Strong knowledge of IFRS

DUTIES

Full financial management and overseeing the accounting function for 3 head office entities

Preparation of statutory group consolidation at year end

External audit for group – plan and execute in conjunction with group auditors and regional finance teams

Special analytics/investigations/projects/ad-hoc

Standardisation of Group reporting and upskilling of Regional Teams

Implement and monitor appropriate internal controls

Review and authorise all payments made

Monitor monthly expenditure to ensure it remains within budget

Oversee monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts including intercompany reconciliations with counterparties

Monitor and oversee the cash management of the head office entities, including monthly cashflow forecasting

Maintenance of banking records, signatory updates etc

Maintenance of statutory records

Preparation of tax calculations and returns in conjunction with consultants

Review of monthly VAT return

External audit

Group year-end audit process planning and management

Co-ordination and attendance of group and regional audit close out calls

Monitoring, follow up and resolution of group audit issues

Group financial management

Keep up to date with new IFRS developments and applicability/relevance to the group.

Review and assistance with drafting full IFRS sets of regional AFS

Assist with review of AFS that are drafted in region

Preparation of UK and SA group audit consolidation worksheet

Drafting of head office entity and group consolidate AFS

Maintenance of the group risk register

Maintenance of group capex approvals and register

Maintenance of group lease register

Maintenance of contracts register

Special Analytics / Projects / Other

Assist the Group CFO/Group FP&A Manager with detailed analytical work and special investigations when or as needed

Implement appropriate software tool for preparation of annual financial statements across the group

Other adhoc tasks and duties when or as the need arises

Salary: R750 ctc, dependent on experience
