Our client is an industrial leader with a dominant presence in the African packaging manufacturing sector. With a vast manufacturing footprint and a portfolio of renowned brands, they rely on a complex and efficient supply chain, powered by a world-class finance function that ensures robust financial control and transparent reporting across the entire group.

Step into a high-impact Group Financial Accountant position where you will be responsible for the integrity and consolidation of the group's financial results. You will be the go-to expert for technical accounting, group reporting, and ensuring compliance, providing a clear and accurate picture of the group's performance to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Take ownership of the group's monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation process.
Prepare and review group financial statements in compliance with IFRS, ensuring technical accuracy.
Oversee and review the financial reporting from subsidiary companies, ensuring adherence to group accounting policies.
Play a key role in the group's annual audit process, acting as a primary point of contact for External Auditors.
Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and ensure group-wide compliance.
Continuously improve group reporting processes and enhance the effectiveness of financial controls.
Provide technical accounting guidance and support to finance teams across the group's subsidiaries.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

CA(SA) / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent.
BCom Accounting with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience, including significant exposure to group consolidations.
In-depth knowledge of IFRS and experience in preparing complex group financial statements.
Proficient in a major ERP system; experience with group consolidation modules is highly advantageous.
A background in manufacturing, especially packaging, FMCG, or a related industrial group, will make you a standout candidate.
