Group Financial Accountant

A diversified telecommunications group with operations in Africa, Europe and South America is looking for a Group Financial Accountant HFM and Sage Support to join their finance team.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Group Financial Accountant HFM and Sage Support will be responsible for conducting HFM and Sage training to finance staff and supporting requests from HFM users for financial reporting. The Group Financial Accountant HFM and Sage Support will be responsible for assisting users in Sage by creating new users, creating new accounts, and creating new entities. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the Group monthly performance report, preparing consolidation journal entries in HFM, and assisting in preparing board packs. The successful candidate will also assist with audit queries, research of new IFRS and prepare VAT computations.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• BCom Honors in Accounting
• Completed SAICA articles is preferred

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• At least 3-4 years’ post article experience in a similar role
• Working knowledge of HFM is non-negotiable
• Experience preparing annual financial statements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of and experience in performing complex consolidations
• Experience in the telecommunications/ICT industries is preferred
• Working knowledge of VAT and tax
