Duties:

Provide assistance in the financial management and statutory reporting function of the Group
Externally directed financial reporting to shareholders including the Group, JSE and the Board
Internally focused with regards to management reports to EXCO as well as other internal stakeholders
Production of timeous and accurate management reports, statutory financial statements, and reports on the overall consolidated financial results
Involvement on strategic finance projects.

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
BCom honours in accounting
CA(SA)

Experience:

Post articles experience
Minimum 3/5 years post experience within a financial services environment within a group financial accountant role
Experience within the insurance industry on a senior level would be highly recommended
Experience in financial management reporting is a huge advantage

Skills & Competencies:

Strong people skills
Sound communication skills
Results oriented and deadline driven
Being able to operate in a high-pressure environment
Comprehensive and extensive knowledge of IFRS, including insurance accounting
