JOB SUMMARY:

Our client, a Global provider of project implementation and management solutions, with over 16 years of experience and a proven successful track record, currently seeks an astute, worldly individual to start immediately.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Person:

CA (SA) with 3 years post articles experience; or
Bachelor of Accounting Science in Financial Accounting with minimum 5 years exp.
SAIPA or similar Professional Membership.
Experience working within the Engineering and/or Construction environment (pref).
International experience: IFRS, Forex, foreign financial reporting.
SAP Business One essential (non-negotiable).
Advanced Excel skills.

The Job:
Report to the Regional Director:

Monthly management accounts for the Group of Companies (including international based).
Multi-currency financial reporting and bookkeeping capturing.
Prepare working paper files for External Auditors and audit file compilation.
VAT - monthly reviewing, processing, calculating and handling the submissions.
Prepare VAT to turnover reconciliations.
Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to CFO and CEO every quarter.
Analyse costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the companyâs actual performance compared to the budget.
Develop trends and projections for the firmâs finances.
Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
Manage the preparation of the companyâs budget.
Prepare annual financial statements for External Auditors.
Check up on outstanding debtors and credits.
Review month end files (also used for audit purposes).
Check and monitor quarterly stock and fixed asset counts.
Monitor forecast to see progress monthly (complete with balancing of each balance sheet per region).
Create monthly Exco reports for CFO.
Prepare schedules and reconciliations supporting the financial statements.
Payslips and PAYE processing and calculation.
Oversee the compilation of annual financial statements.
Supervise work being distributed and allocate budgets for working paper files.
Ensure that all audit work and financial statements comply with all applicable standards.
Prepare taxation and deferred taxation computation and process relating journal entries.
Verify and vouch both income statement and balance sheet items.
Perform fixed asset verifications.
Prepared to travel both locally and internationally as per operational requirements.
