POSITION INFO:
A prominent global player in the engineering, mining, and manufacturing sectors is seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to join their senior leadership team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a CA(SA) to take ownership of financial reporting, complex consolidations, and financial strategy across multiple business units. As the Group Financial Controller, you will oversee financial operations, streamline reporting processes, and contribute to the company’s strategic financial decisions.

Duties:

• Lead the preparation and consolidation of Group financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the financial reporting processes, providing timely, accurate, and insightful financial information to senior management and stakeholders.
• Manage complex inter-company transactions, eliminations, and consolidations across multiple regions and business units.
• Develop and implement financial strategies that drive operational efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, ensuring the effective execution of tasks and continuous development.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making by providing financial insights and analysis.
• Monitor and manage the Group’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure the timely submission of statutory and regulatory returns, including tax filings and compliance with relevant laws.
• Drive process improvements within the finance function to enhance data accuracy, streamline operations, and reduce costs.
• Maintain strong relationships with external Auditors, tax consultants, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Evaluate and implement best practices in financial management and controls to ensure the integrity and accuracy of Group financial information.

• A CA(SA) qualification is required.
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a senior financial role, with a solid background in engineering, mining, or manufacturing industries.
• Extensive experience in complex financial consolidations and managing multi-entity financial reporting.
