Group Financial Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client is a long established powerful market leader in logistics and transport. They are currently looking for a Group Financial Manager to manage the Finance team and the finances of the group of six large entities, as right hand to the Group CFO.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:

• C.A. (S.A.).
• Min 3 years’ experience, pref in a similar environment.
• Previous management of a Finance team essential.

A Group Head Office function, reporting to the Group CFO:

• Maintain accurate and reliable financial records and analysis.
• Meet various reporting deadlines, internal and external.
• Monitor and manage accounts receivable to avoid bad debt and limit overdue debt.
• Monitor and manage accounts payable to achieve best cash flow, ensure validity and accuracy, and maintain a good credit record.
• Monitor and manage foreign exchange risk and exposure.
• Prepare budgets and report on performance against the budgets.
• Manage relationship with professional service providers and regulators.
• Monitor and manage cash flows.
• All creditors’ invoices are accurate and valid and payments correct.
• Implement cost saving programs and monitor adherence.
• Regulatory reporting and compliance.
