A reputable concern with proven track record of excellence in the financial services space is looking for an experienced Group Financial Manager to join their team. The organization is owned and managed by its founding and executive members.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Group Financial Manager will be responsible for managing the group month end close off process to ensure deadlines are met and capturing of the general ledgers are complete. The Group Financial Manager will be responsible for managing the monthly reconciliation process, supporting the annual budgeting process, preparing and filing VAT declarations and tax returns and assisting with the external audit process. The successful candidate will also be responsible for continuous improvement of internal control and standard operating procedures.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

CA(SA)
Big 4 audit firm exposure is preferred

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

At least 3-4 years’ post article experience in a similar environment
Experience in financial services is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong people management and leadership skills
Attention to detail
Experience with variance analysis
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with working capital management
Experience with IFRS 9, IFRS 15 and IFRS 16
