SUMMARY:
Leading distributor of electrical, cable and allied products has an opportunity for a Group Financial Manager. CA(SA) qualification is essential as well as min. 5 years previous experience in a similar role. The role will report to the Group CFO.

POSITION INFO:
The main function of this position is to be responsible for the planning, implementation and managing of all the financial activities in the group, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations.
Some key functions in the role would include:
Review and interpret monthly management accounts
Analyzing operations and identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction and systems management
Reviews and evaluations for cost reduction opportunities
Assist with strategic planning and analysis
Evaluating trends and determining productivity
Inter-divisional reconciliations
Review Head Office and operational GL recons
Manage banking profiles and treasury functions
Prepare AFS and manage roll out of any IFRS
Compile and consolidate budget templates
Support project analysis, validation of plans and ad-hoc requests by CFO

CA(SA) qualification essential
Min. 5 years experience in a similar role
Strong IFRS knowledge and compliance as well as proven knowledge of cost control, financial analysis, accounting principles and regulations and compliance
