JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the Industrial Consumable supplies Industry is currently seeking a Group Finance Manager to join their high-performing team. The incumbent MUST be a qualified CA(SA) and have at least 5 yearsâ post-articlesâ experience. Please see the performance area criteria below for a more detailed description of the required responsibilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements:

Qualified CA(SA)
5 years’ post-articles’ experience
Experience managing a small team
Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, cashflow modelling, audit, tax, and compliance obligations
IT experience
Sound knowledge of accounting software, preferably Syspro

Performance Areas (Responsibilities):

The end-to-end financial function for several different legal entities to ensure that reports and submissions are accurate and timely, and financial assets are appropriately controlled.
Statutory, management and regulatory reporting, monthly reconciliations and control, accounting and taxation, process development and refinement.
Assist in refining and maintaining internal financial controls and reporting frameworks – visits to South African branches may be required.
Provide insight and analysis of financial information monthly.
Ensure finance team consistently discharge all their duties and ensure excellent communication between the Finance Department and other users of information.
Assist the Creditors department and ensure all payments to suppliers are properly supported and valid.
Assist in drafting the Annual budget of the organisation.
Accountable for full ledger function of the entities including foreign entity and conversion of foreign entity to local currency.
IT RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor performance of IT systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving IT infrastructure; Creating rational strategies for upgrading the company’s network software whenever a new update is available; Constructing and implementing plans to ensure the company’s network continues to operate smoothly in the event of a problem.
